We are World Champion!
It is the world championship of Sauvignon Blancs – the Sauvignon Selection by CMB (formerly Concours Mondial du Sauvignon). From 18th to 20th April 2024, 56 international jurors tasted 1,285 wines from 27 countries. Styria impressed across the board, not only presenting the best Sauvignon of the competition but also winning 11 out of 19 Grand Gold Medals. If the CMB is considered the world championship, then MUSTER.GAMLITZ is the world champion. The winning wine, the Sauvignon Blanc Ried Grubthal 2020, impressed the jurors with elegance, length, and complexity – a bottling of superlatives.
Klassik goes STYRIA
It’s March and suddenly our classic line wears a new dress with a typically Styrian green bottle, proudly displaying our Illyrian symbols on the chest and a new name: STYRIA. Some might wonder: How come? Often the single-vineyard wines take the spotlight, yet it’s a solid foundation that makes them shine. To this foundation unquestionably belong the vivacious five. Typical in three respects: quintessentially Styrian, characteristic of the grape variety, and of unusually high quality. But how could it be otherwise, with beautiful vineyard sites, Illyrian weather, and a new cellar where the harvest was more fun than ever.
